Dr Amy Mellor has worked in private practice in Brisbane since 2009, providing obstetric care at Arrivals Obstetric Centre and gynaecological services through Eve Health.

In 2017, Amy started her own private practice, with rooms located in the Salmon Building within the Mater Hospital.  Amy also runs a public Adolescent Gynaecology service through Mater Health Services

Amy obtained her medical degree at the University of Queensland in 1998. She first started working in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2000, and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists in 2009.  During her training, Amy worked at the Mater Mothers’ Hospital, as well as women’s health units in Adelaide, Nambour, Toowoomba, the QEII Hospital and Perth.  In 2006, she was awarded the Gold Medal for the RANZCOG fellowship exams.  

In 2013, Amy took time away from private practice to undertake a fellowship in Paediatric & Adolescent Gynaecology at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.  In 2016 she was awarded fellowship of the International Federation of Paediatric & Adolescent Gynaecology in Florence, Italy.

Amy has two young children and enjoys running, cooking, reading and music.
